These materials were developed by Rev. Phil Roushey, pastor of Good Shepherd Church from 2012-2015.  They offer a wonderful overview of the Christian faith in the Lutheran tradition, as expressed by Martin Luther and later by the Lutheran pastor Diettrich Bonhoeffer.

Session III: The Cost of Discipleship
This session covers the first section on Bonhoeffer's book The Cost of Discipleship. Bonhoeffer struggles with the struggle between cheap and costly grace. Seeking to follow Christ faithfully while acknowledging the difficulties, Bonhoeffer uses the calling of the disciples from the gospel of Matthew to understand what it means to follow Jesus and the implications Jesus' call has for our lives.
