Topsy Turvey
While sharing with others at evening prayer this week, I wondered, if God so loved the world, why did He send Jesus to turn it upside down? Revolutions involve, well, revolving, and sometimes I get dizzy. It’s important to take breaks from the news to get out and enjoy the world around us. Summer is nigh, so here is your seasonal reminder to invite me to all those Friday food trucks, Miller Park concerts, and Little League parades going on in our sweet little community. Help your pastor get out there and meet more of this wonderful world which God so loves.
In this week’s e-bulletin, you will find results from last month’s Reconciling in Christ survey, as well as a link to our new Disability Ministry survey, which you should have also received on Tuesday. In the spirit of accessibility, we are also providing hard copies of this survey so that it can be filled out at church if you prefer. We need to hear from as many people as possible about how we can make our church more inclusive.
There’s a lot going on, but it all boils down to one great Thesis: human dignity. That’s the premise on which our world should be turning. That’s the place where we can stand.
with love,
Pr. Chelsea
