The Growing Season
It’s an exciting time for our church, with six new members joining this Sunday, along with two who joined earlier this year! We have just finished our Easter season Bible study on church growth, and I can feel all the growing we are doing as we transition from Pentecost into Ordinary Time, the liturgical season of “green” and “growth.”
While Bible study is done for the summer, please join us for online evening prayer on Tuesdays at 7 PM (Zoom link is below and in the church calendar on the website) - and stay afterwards, to discuss ideas for developing a new Bible study to guide the “relational theology against Christian nationalism” effort which began at Adult Forum last Sunday.
Thank you to all who set aside time to fill out the Disability Ministry survey, which the team hopes to wrap up this Sunday. There’s still time to give your input! From the gathering table of communion to the deep personal transformation of baptism, Good Shepherd is a place of discipleship in the way of Jesus. Enjoy this inspiring Lord’s Prayer video for Pentecost, which reminds me of the beautiful community of disciples we are blessed to be.
with love, Pr. Chelsea
